dig in

I’ve found love refreshing and new
held it in my hands
up to the light
flawless
I’ve found love in mid-day heat
crisp on edge ready to fray
too much heat
cautious
I’ve found love canned on the shelf
dusty sealed still preserved
ready to be opened
wipe the grit
dig-in.

(Hello reader, how are you today? As you can see, not every poem can be perfect. Sometimes they just are)
